With 'Moods', I tried to let go of my perfectionism and tendency to over-produce things. I've always been afraid of too much repetition in my music, so I needed to get comfortable with that. All the ideas for the tracks came with the limitations of 8 tracks and the warm sounds of an analog synth. I did use more tracks afterwards during editing, but the initial ideas were at 8 tracks max.

It's important to set limits for yourself. Focus on the core and expand once you're happy with that. This doesn't necessarily only apply to creative work.
